MORE THAN AN ONLINE BROCHURE

The website has a job at every stage of the customer journey.

It should make the business easier to find, understand, trust and contact—then connect the enquiry to the way the business actually works.

01

Be found

Create clear, crawlable pages for the services and information customers search for.

02

Be understood

Explain what you do, who it is for, where you work and what the customer should do next.

03

Build confidence

Support decisions with real reviews, work examples, answers, policies and consistent business information.

04

Make action easy

Use the right path—call, quote, booking, message, purchase or account—without unnecessary friction.

05

Connect marketing

Give Google, advertising and social content one useful destination instead of disconnected campaigns.

06

Support operations

Route leads, bookings, orders and customer activity into dashboards, CRM and internal workflows.

WEBSITE FINDER

Find the right website for your business.

Your industry gives us context. The recommendation comes from what the website needs to manage, connect and accomplish.

Question 1 of 4
1 2 3 4
What type of business do you operate?

Choose the closest match. You can explain anything unusual when requesting a quote.

THE FOUR MAIN APPROACHES

The platform follows the requirement—not the trend.

Each option can be designed well. The difference is what it manages, how it grows, who needs access and how much custom functionality is required.

01

Custom WordPress website

A flexible content-managed foundation for service businesses, professional practices and websites expected to grow through pages and useful content.

Usually best for

  • Service and professional businesses
  • Editable service and location pages
  • Resource publishing and ongoing SEO
  • Quote, booking and CRM integrations
  • Smaller ecommerce through WooCommerce where appropriate

Important to understand

  • WordPress needs hosting, updates and maintenance
  • Poor themes and unnecessary plugins can create bloat
  • Access can be limited by user role
  • A custom theme is different from installing a generic template

Client access

Clients can receive the dashboard role appropriate to their responsibilities—from content editing to full administration. When Webbotica manages the website, it remains inside our managed hosting environment. If you want direct hosting control, we can instead set it up in a hosting account you own or transfer it there after the agreed payment requirements are completed.

STRUCTURE BEFORE DECORATION

What might your website actually contain?

Not every business needs every page. The structure is planned around customer questions, business priorities and the path to action.

DOMAIN, HOSTING, ACCESS & OWNERSHIP

You should understand what you own—and what we manage.

Ownership and technical management are different. Webbotica can manage the environment without using your website or domain as leverage.

01

Domain

The public address, such as yourbusiness.com.au. It should be registered using the client’s correct business details.

Client-controlled identity
02

Hosting

The technical environment where files, databases and services operate. Webbotica can host, update, back up and monitor it on a monthly or annual managed plan. If you prefer direct hosting control, we can set the website up in an account you own.

Managed monthly, annually or independently
03

Website & dashboard

The customer-facing experience and the approved tools used to manage content, products, orders, customers or operations.

Access matched to responsibility

THE WEBBOTICA PRINCIPLE

We do not hold the website hostage.

Once the agreed payment obligations are completed, we support a straightforward transfer to the client or their chosen provider, subject to disclosed third-party licences and platform terms.

  • The domain uses the client’s correct details.
  • The client owns the agreed custom deliverables after payment.
  • Managed hosting does not remove client ownership.
  • Webbotica does not provide access to its managed hosting account. For direct hosting control, we can set up or transfer the website to an account owned by the client.
  • Platform access is provided according to the client’s responsibilities.
  • Transfer support is defined clearly in the agreement.

HOW WE BUILD

The process begins with the business—not the homepage.

Every step reduces a different risk: choosing the wrong platform, organising pages poorly, building unusable features or launching without the systems needed to manage it.

01

Understand

Business, customers, services, locations, goals and existing systems.

02

Recommend

Platform, page structure, functionality, access and management approach.

03

Plan

Sitemap, customer journey, content requirements and technical scope.

04

Design

Wireframes, visual direction, desktop, mobile and interaction design.

05

Develop

Platform implementation, forms, dashboards, content and integrations.

06

Test

Devices, browsers, forms, accessibility, performance and tracking.

07

Launch

Domain, hosting, security, backups, analytics and search setup.

08

Manage or hand over

Webbotica management, internal control or transfer to another provider.

REFINEMENT VS NEW SCOPE

We refine the approved direction. We re-scope a changed direction.

This protects the client from receiving something that does not match the brief, while protecting the project from becoming unlimited new work.

Included refinement“The navy needs to feel slightly deeper.”

Colour tuning, spacing, wording corrections and adjustments within the approved design direction.

Changed scope“Replace the approved navy direction with a new red identity.”

New creative direction, additional pages, new functionality or changed requirements may require a variation.

A CLEAR QUOTE, BUILT AROUND THE REQUIREMENT

Why we do not advertise one generic website price.

We are not hiding the cost. A focused information website, an ecommerce store and a custom operational platform are fundamentally different projects.

We first identify the right solution, then provide a clear quote showing the initial project investment, required external costs, and any monthly or annual management and growth services you choose.

01

Initial project investment

Strategy, architecture, design, development, setup, testing and launch.

02

Required external costs

Domain, platform subscriptions, licences and third-party services. Managed hosting can be billed monthly or annually.

03

Monthly or annual ongoing support

Maintenance, SEO, content, advertising, CRM and continued improvement.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

The questions worth answering before the project begins.

The exact obligations still belong in the proposal and contract. These answers explain the general Webbotica approach in plain language.

Do I own the website?

Once the agreed payment obligations have been completed, you own the custom deliverables created for the project, subject to disclosed third-party licences, platform terms, stock assets and software that cannot legally be transferred.

Who should own the domain?

The domain should use your correct business or legal details. Webbotica can help register and configure it, but we do not use a client’s domain as leverage.

Do I need to manage hosting?

No. Webbotica can manage hosting, backups, updates and technical configuration through a monthly or annual arrangement. We do not share access to Webbotica’s managed hosting account. If you want direct hosting control, we can build the website in a hosting account you own, set one up for you, or transfer the website to your chosen provider after the agreed payment requirements are completed.

Can hosting and ongoing support be paid monthly?

Yes. Managed hosting, maintenance and agreed growth services can be arranged monthly, while annual billing can also be offered where suitable. The quote separates the initial build from ongoing services so you can see exactly what is recurring.

Will I receive dashboard access?

Yes, where the website requires it. WordPress and Shopify provide management dashboards. A custom website can include a purpose-built dashboard or connected CMS. Access is matched to what you need to manage safely.

Can I move the website later?

After the contractual payment requirements are satisfied, we support a straightforward transfer to you or your chosen provider. The exact files, database, source code, documentation and migration assistance depend on the project.

What happens after Webbotica stops managing it?

Responsibility for future hosting, updates, security, backups, licences and changes passes to you or the new provider. Any warranty, handover support and limitations are defined in the agreement.

Are revisions unlimited?

We refine the agreed design direction so it accurately reflects the approved brief. A new creative direction, extra pages, new functionality or changed requirements can require a revised scope.

Does a website guarantee Google rankings or leads?

No. The website creates the foundation for discovery and conversion. Rankings and lead volume also depend on competition, demand, content, reputation, search visibility, advertising and follow-up.

Which platform is best for SEO?

No platform wins simply because of its name. The site must be crawlable, useful, fast enough, logically structured and manageable. WordPress is often practical for content-heavy service businesses; other platforms can also perform well when implemented correctly.

Can I buy only the website?

Yes. Standalone website projects and ongoing growth partnerships are both available. The quote separates the initial build, required external costs and any monthly or annual ongoing work.
